Wasabiya Japanese Sushi Cafe

By far the best Sushi restaurant in town. It is pricier, but the food is on average better than all of the other Sushi restaurants in town, and trust me I visit them all. I just wish they were open Mondays.

I love love love this sushi restaurant.. but they need to expand.. You almost always need a reservation to get in, and take out can be two hours.. but honestly its worth it. I just want them to move to a bigger location so I can eat there more!! There spicy scallop rolls are the best I've ever had!

Ate here the other day for lunch. Awesome food! Tried alot of stuff from the menu and it was all good. Had a rice bowl with teryaki beef on top, sooo good.

Well me and the girls eat there probably once and month, plus visit with our families. The service is great, and the food is awesome. If you haven't tried the spicy tuna, give it a try. Also the dynamite roll, and spicy dungenesscrab roll are great.

Service was excellent but the food was definetly way too salty...may have just been the day but I didnt have more than a couple bites as I couldnt stomach it.

Quality is fresh and excellent. Facility is small and getting seating can be a challenge. Reserve or order take out well in advance of when you need.

Amazing sushi! The special rolls you can't order out are definetly the best, try to make it in there atleast once a month.

Wasabiya is the best sushi place ever, and I am very lucky to have it only a few blocks from my home. Try the Dynamite roll and gyozas, amazing!

Been all over and tried various sushi restaurants, Hero's is the best,, and I am so proud it is right here in home town Campbell River.. Simply delicious food, nice atmosphere.. and service... BUT THE BEST FOOD EVER.....

I have had sushi at 4 different places in Victoria in the last few months and none of them even come close to comparing to Wasabyas. They are fantastic! Love your smoked salmon salad, my favorite!! ) Keep it coming! I will wait an hour for my to go order gladly. )

its simple food how could you fuck up with fish raw and steamed rice nothing major normal food

Although small and very busy Hero simply has the best sushi on the island. Service is fast and friendly. Reservations a must.

Very, very fine sushi, although it's a bit perturbing that one sometimes has to wait an hour and a half after calling to pick up a take-out order. Are they catching the fish during that time?

I've experienced many different Sushi places in Canada and the US. Wasabiya is BY FAR THE BEST. Hero and his staff are amazing. The food is so fresh and he has so many new ideas, not the typical sushi restaurant that's for sure!

Absolutely the best on the island that I have tasted so far. Completely mouth watering, fresh and so very tastey - every time! I'm thrilled to hear that they have finally expanded since it was difficult to get in without a reservation before.

This restaurant has an excellent menu, great prices, service is extremely fast and efficient and the sushi is the best on vancouver island by far. I have eaten at many sushi restaurants south of cambell river, and can honestly say this is the best yet.

Very busy on fri and sat nites so go early. Amazing food.

This restaurant never fails to impress! I've never heard one bad word, nor have I have had a bad taste. Koto's is fantastic, but slow and expensive. Wasabyia has great food, great service, and very friendly staff!
