Best Wok

This is the best Chinese restaurant I have tried in Campbell River. I find some dishes not traditional Chinese which actually I find them special and delicious as well.

MMM good food! My favorite is the war wonton soup and the szechuan sauce. Service is usually pretty good...sometimes a long wait to get the food. I agree that they do go through a lot of staff, but there are a few great girls that have been there a while. Always a pleasure to visit Best Wok!

Love top Wok! I've eaten in the restaurant but normally order delivery. The portions they serve are pretty big and I lover their sweet and sour sauce. I am a huge sweet and sour fan!
The service has always been very good.
It's odd there's been a couple bad reviews on this place. May be it was an odd day. Either way, every time I have eaten here I have had a wonderful experience.

great service, great good, best chinese food in campbell river

I am not only a former talk show host on TV & Radio but helped a friend for many months - he was and is a food critic and I learned how to do this through him - he is good. I find Best Wok is good food some days even a touch better, but their waitress service when I used to go was sometimes good sometimes bad, sometimes sucked! But they had and probably still do one major problem - they went through waitresses like I do underwear. So something higher up like management or ownership must have not been good - DECENT CHINESE FOOD THOUGH!

The food is hit and miss there, basically if you order your food at lunch time its great and fresh dinner time its a 50/50 chance.

I have always had a good meal at the Best Wok but for some reason today was not my day for a good meal. I did not get what I had ordered the stir fry was partially cold and the chicken was hard and dry. When I told the waitress she said she would talk to the cook. She returned and she the cook told her that everything was fresh. I had to disagree and that was it. I was charged full price even though I didn't get what I ordered. I will have to think twice about going back anytime soon just to forget the memorey.

Excellent food, great service and good price.

Absolutely hit and miss food quality with this resteraunt. I have eaten there so many times which at least says something. In Campbell River we are so limited in selection that sometimes this is it, or as mentioned before make the trek to The Driftwood Resteraunt. Which isn't as far as you'd think. Otherwise just eat here and cross your fingers you get cook #1. Still haven't found the rythm to the good food / bad food routine, wish I could but I think they mix it up to keep people coming back 7 days a week.

Service with a smile, can't go wrong in that dept.

I agree that the cheap price really shoes in the quality of the food. I ordered the spring rolls, deep fried wontons and wonton soup. All three I found were bland and did not taste

You cannot be serious? Ever read the large food storage buckets? 1/2 of them have labels saying they need to be destroyed after use because they contained floor cleaner or caustic solutions. Even the owner is a grubby guy who will not let food go to waste. Raw chicken off the floor by the dish washing area anyone? prawns that fall into the trash and then telling drivers to put them into the buckets to be eaten with the attitude of it gets cooked

You've worked too long in a dirty kitchen to think that what goes on there is acceptable.

Also being a fellow employee there, the quality of the food boils down to the people that are hired there. Struggling to find decent good help these days are hard to come by, and I gather that the last response was left by someone who was fired for not doing their job accurately and was bitter about the whole situation. I ate there all the time, and had no problems with the food.

Absolutely no quality goes into the food. Take it from someone who worked there in the past. Not foodsafe at all take your money elswere

We would give the Best Wok an 8 out of 10 rating - quick service, good food and no gut ball afterwards. Plus cute waitresses.
